Baker McKenzie Hong Kong will be coming to the University of Sydney on Monday 27th March 10-11am at the Law Lounge!
Baker McKenzie Hong Kong will run one Winter Clerkship programme in January 2018. This is a comprehensive four week programme and aims to give students the opportunity to experience first hand what it is like to work at the firm. In addition to getting to know Baker McKenzie’s culture, vacation clerks will participate in the training programme available to trainees and junior lawyers and be exposed to the type of work typically undertaken by them. The clerkship programme is the main pathway into securing a training contract with the firm as clerks who perform well during the programme will be selecting to join Baker McKenzie’s Hong Kong office as trainee solicitors after they have completed their legal studies and their Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (P.C.L.L.). Participation is therefore mandatory for those seeking a future training contract.
To apply, candidates should be in their penultimate year of study of their undergraduate or postgraduate law degree programme, have strong academic results, fluent Chinese language skills (written and spoken) and be firmly committed to establishing a legal career in Hong Kong.
Students need to submit their resume, academic transcript and reference letters via the following link, by Sunday the 12th of March 2017 (early submission is advised).
